All on X

"All-on-X" is a term used in the field of implant dentistry to describe a full-arch dental restoration technique that replaces all teeth in either the upper or lower jaw, or both, using a fixed dental prosthesis supported by multiple dental implants. The "X" in "All-on-X" represents the number of dental implants used to anchor the full-arch restoration.

The All-on-X procedure is primarily used for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth due to decay, gum disease, or other dental issues. Instead of replacing each missing tooth with an individual implant and crown, the All-on-X approach uses a smaller number of dental implants to support a complete fixed prosthesis, providing a stable and functional set of teeth.

There are two common All-on-X treatment options:

All-on-4: In this approach, four dental implants are strategically placed in the jawbone to support a full-arch fixed prosthesis. The implants are strategically angled to take advantage of the available bone and provide maximum stability. All-on-4 is often suitable for patients with limited bone volume and density.

All-on-6 or All-on-X: This variation of the procedure involves using six or more dental implants to support the full-arch restoration. It may be recommended for patients with more substantial bone density or when additional support is needed for the restoration. The benefits of All-on-X include:

Improved Function: The fixed prosthesis allows for normal chewing and speaking, restoring the ability to eat a wide variety of foods comfortably.

Aesthetics: The full-arch restoration is designed to look natural and provide a beautiful smile.

Bone Preservation: Dental implants stimulate the jawbone, helping to prevent bone loss that commonly occurs when teeth are missing.

Stability: The fixed prosthesis is securely anchored to the dental implants, eliminating the need for removable dentures.

Efficiency: All-on-X procedures can often be completed in a shorter time frame compared to replacing each tooth individually.

However, it's essential to note that the All-on-X procedure is a significant undertaking that requires careful planning and consideration. Not all patients may be suitable candidates for this treatment, as factors such as overall health, bone density, and oral health conditions play a crucial role in determining eligibility.

A CBCT is taken and analyzed by Dr. Dwivedi. A determination is made as to how many implants to place and the type of prosthesis to place. He will consult and discuss options, pros and cons of the various options. Using Hybridge prosthetics, the final result can be obtained in as few as three visits. To ease any anxiety Dr.Dwivedi sedates most patients for this procedure.

Smile Makeover

A smile makeover is a comprehensive approach to improving the appearance of a person's smile through various cosmetic and restorative dental procedures. The goal of a smile makeover is to enhance the aesthetics of the teeth and gums, resulting in a more attractive and confident smile. This process involves a combination of treatments tailored to the individual's specific needs and desires.

Here are some common cosmetic and restorative procedures that might be part of a smile
makeover:

Teeth Whitening: A popular and straightforward procedure to remove stains and discoloration from the teeth, giving them a whiter and brighter appearance.

Dental Veneers: Thin porcelain or composite shells that are bonded to the front surface of the teeth to cover imperfections such as chipped, stained, or misshapen teeth.

Dental Crowns: Custom-made caps that cover the entire tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength, often used for severely damaged or decayed teeth.

Dental Implants: Titanium posts surgically placed in the jawbone to replace missing teeth. They provide a stable foundation for dental crowns, bridges, or dentures.

Dental Bonding: A process where a tooth-colored resin material is applied to the teeth and hardened with a special light, improving the appearance of chipped, cracked, or discolored
teeth.

Gum Contouring: Also known as gum reshaping, this procedure involves removing excess gum tissue to create a more proportionate and balanced gum line.

Orthodontic Treatments: Braces or clear aligners to correct crooked teeth, misalignment, or bite issues.

Invisalign: A type of clear aligner system that straightens teeth without the use of traditional braces.

Gum or Tooth Recontouring: Reshaping the gums or teeth to correct irregularities or improve symmetry.

Dental Bridges: Fixed dental restorations used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring to neighboring teeth.

Dental Fillings: Tooth-colored materials used to repair cavities and restore the natural appearance of the teeth.

A smile makeover is typically a collaborative process between the patient and Dr, Dwivedi. He will evaluate the patient's oral health, discuss their concerns and expectations, and then develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve the desired results. The timeline and cost of a smile makeover can vary depending on the complexity of the case and the procedures involved.

Before considering a smile makeover, it's essential for individuals to have good oral health. If there are any underlying dental issues like gum disease or decay, these should be addressed and treated before moving forward with cosmetic treatments. Regular dental check-ups are crucial to maintaining the results of a smile makeover and ensuring the long-term health of the teeth and gums.

Same Day Dentistry

Same-day dentistry, also known as single-visit dentistry or same-day dental restorations, refers to the ability to provide certain dental treatments in a single appointment, without the need for multiple visits or temporary restorations. Advances in dental technology and techniques have made it possible for dentists to offer a range of procedures on the same day they are diagnosed or planned.

The key feature of same-day dentistry is the use of chairside CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology, which allows dentists to create custom dental restorations in their office during the same appointment. Using the Fastmill i/o system, the process typically involves the following steps:
Digital Impressions: Instead of using traditional dental impression materials (putty-like substances), Dr. Dwivedi uses a digital scanner to create a 3D image of the patient's teeth and gums. This digital impression is more comfortable and accurate than traditional impressions. No more choking or gagging on impressions!

  • CAD Design: The digital scan is sent to a computer, where Dr. Dwivedi uses specialized software to design the dental restoration, such as dental crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers or bridges.
  • CAM Manufacturing: After designing the restoration, the computer sends the data to an in-office milling machine or 3D printer, which fabricates the restoration from a block of high-quality dental material, such as ceramic or composite resin. Usually Dr. Dwivedi makes single crowns out of zirconia.
  • Placement: Once the restoration is ready, Dr. Dwivedi checks the fit and aesthetics before permanently cementing it to the patient's tooth or implant. Some common same-day dental restorations and treatments include:
    • Same-day dental crowns: Custom crowns that are milled or 3D-printed in the dental office and placed on the same day.
    • Inlays and Onlays: Indirect restorations that repair damaged or decayed teeth and are fabricated in the office during the same appointment.
    • Veneers: Thin shells of porcelain or composite resin used to enhance the appearance of teeth with cosmetic imperfections. Some types of bridges: For replacing missing teeth in certain situations. Some types of dentures: In some cases, digital technology can expedite the fabrication of
dentures. Advantages of same-day dentistry include:
    • Convenience: Patients can receive their dental restorations in a single visit, eliminating the need for temporary restorations and multiple appointments.
    • Time-saving: The entire process, from digital scanning to restoration placement, is completed in one visit, saving both the patient's and the dentist's time.
    • Precise fit: Digital technology ensures a high level of accuracy in designing and fabricating restorations, leading to better fit and function.

However, it's important to note that not all dental treatments can be done in a single visit, and some cases may still require traditional laboratory-fabricated restorations. Dr. Dwivedi will assess each patient's individual needs and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry, also known as sleep dentistry or twilight dentistry, is a dental practice thatuses medication to help patients relax and remain calm during dental procedures. It is
particularly useful for patients who experience dental anxiety, fear, or have a low pain threshold, as it can make their dental experience more comfortable and less stressful. There are different levels of sedation dentistry, ranging from mild relaxation to deep sedation, depending on the patient's needs and the complexity of the dental procedure. The primary types of sedation used in dentistry are:

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): Nitrous oxide, often called "laughing gas," is the mildest form of sedation. It is administered through a mask placed over the nose, allowing the patient to
inhale a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen. Nitrous oxide induces a state of relaxation and euphoria, and the effects wear off quickly after the mask is removed, allowing patients to resume normal activities after the procedure.

Oral Sedation: Oral sedation involves the use of prescribed medication in the form of pills or liquid, taken by mouth before the dental procedure. The medication induces a higher level of relaxation than nitrous oxide and may cause drowsiness, making it more suitable for patients with moderate dental anxiety. Depending on the dosage, some patients may feel groggy or even fall asleep during the procedure.

IV Sedation (Intravenous Sedation): IV sedation involves the administration of sedative drugs directly into the bloodstream through a vein. This type of sedation allows for a deeper level of relaxation and is often used for more complex or lengthy dental procedures. With IV sedation, the dentist can adjust the level of sedation throughout the procedure to ensure the patient's comfort.

Deep Sedation /General Anesthesia: is a form of sedation that induces a state of deep relaxation and drowsiness in the patient, to the point where they may be only partially aware of their surroundings. The patient is typically conscious but unable to respond to verbal commands during the procedure, but they are in a highly relaxed and sedated state, often feeling very little or no pain or discomfort.
It's important to note that in all cases of sedation dentistry, the patient's vital signs are continuously monitored by the dental team to ensure their safety throughout the procedure. Dr. Dwivedi has special training and certification to administer and manage sedation safely. He has completed a residency in anesthesiology.
Sedation dentistry is commonly used for various dental procedures, including but not limited to:

●  Dental cleanings and check-ups for patients with severe dental anxiety.
●  Tooth extractions or oral surgery procedures.
●  Restorative treatments, such as dental fillings or crowns, for patients with dental phobia.
●  Root canal therapy or periodontal treatments.

If you experience dental anxiety or fear and are considering sedation dentistry, it's essential to discuss your concerns with Dr.Dwivedi. He will evaluate your medical history and dental needs to determine the most appropriate type of sedation for your situation. Remember that sedation dentistry can help many people receive the dental care they need comfortably and without unnecessary stress. Typically Dr. Dwivedi can sedated you for any dental procedure. Key features of deep sedation dentistry:

Reduced Awareness: The patient's level of consciousness is significantly lowered, and they may have little to no memory of the dental procedure.

Pain Management: Deep sedation provides effective pain relief, which is particularly beneficial for patients undergoing lengthy or complex dental treatments.

Amnesia Effect: Deep sedation can cause temporary amnesia, so patients often have little recollection of the procedure after it is completed.

Continuous Monitoring: During deep sedation, the patient's vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, are continuously monitored by the dental team to ensure their safety.

Deep sedation/ General Anesthesia is often used for patients with severe dental anxiety or phobia, those undergoing extensive dental work, or individuals with a low pain threshold. It allows patients to receive necessary dental treatments comfortably and with reduced anxiety. If you are considering sedation dentistry, it's crucial to discuss your concerns with Dr. Dwivedi.

Hybridge Full Arch

Hybridge Dental Lab is a company that specializes in providing dental solutions for patients with missing teeth. They offer a specific type of dental implant-supported full-arch restoration called the "Hybridge Full Arch" system.

The Hybridge Full Arch system is designed to replace a full set of upper or lower teeth with a fixed, permanent dental prosthesis supported by dental implants. The process involves a collaboration between the patient, Dr.Dwivedi, and the Hybridge Dental Lab. Here's an overview of the typical steps involved in the Hybridge Full Arch procedure:

Consultation: The process begins with a consultation between the patient and a dentist trained in the Hybridge Full Arch system. During this appointment, the dentist will evaluate the patient's oral health, discuss their needs and goals, and determine if they are a suitable candidate for the treatment.

Treatment Planning: If the patient is deemed a good candidate for the Hybridge Full Arch system, Dr. Dwivedi will work with the Hybridge Dental Lab to create a personalized treatment plan. This plan includes the number and placement of dental implants required to support the full-arch restoration.

Dental Implant Placement: The next step involves the surgical placement of dental implants into the jawbone. These implants serve as anchors for the full-arch prosthesis.

Temporary Restoration: While the dental implants heal and integrate with the jawbone, a temporary restoration (usually a removable denture) may be provided to maintain the patient's ability to chew and speak comfortably. This temporary is attached to the implants the same day the implants are placed in the jaw.

Final Restoration: Once the dental implants have healed, and the integration is complete, the Hybridge Dental Lab fabricates a custom, fixed full-arch prosthesis. This final restoration is designed to look and function like natural teeth and is securely attached to the dental implants.

Follow-Up Care: Regular check-ups and maintenance visits are essential to ensure the long-term success of the Hybridge Full Arch system. Dr. Dwivedi will give you the details of after care.

It's important to note that dental implant procedures, including the Hybridge Full Arch system, require thorough evaluation and planning to ensure the best outcomes. Not all patients may be suitable candidates for this type of treatment, and individual considerations, such as overall health, bone density, and oral hygiene, will play a role in determining eligibility. Since dental technologies evolve over time, it's a good idea to have a consultation with Dr. Dwivedi for the most up-to-date information and details about services and treatment options

Sleep Apnea/Snoring

Oral devices, also known as oral appliances, can be an effective treatment option for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. These devices are prescribed and custom-fitted by Dr. Dwivedi. Oral devices work by repositioning the jaw or tongue to help keep the airway open during sleep, reducing the instances of apneas (temporary pauses in breathing) and snoring.

Here's how oral devices for sleep apnea treatment generally work:

Evaluation and Customization: The process begins with a comprehensive evaluation by Dr.Dwivedi. They will assess the severity of the sleep apnea and determine if an oral device is a suitable treatment option for the patient. If it is, they will take impressions and measurements of the patient's mouth to create a custom-fitted oral appliance. An airway assessment will be determined with a CBCT.

Fitting and Adjustment: Once the oral device is fabricated, the patient will return to the office for fitting. Dr. Dwivedi will ensure that the device fits comfortably and provides the desired therapeutic effect. Adjustments may be made to fine-tune the fit and effectiveness of the device.

Regular Follow-ups: Follow-up appointments Dr, Dwivedi are essential to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the oral device. Adjustments or modifications may be necessary over time to maintain optimal treatment outcomes. Benefits of oral devices for sleep apnea treatment:

Non-Invasive: Oral devices are non-invasive and do not require surgery, making them an attractive option for patients seeking alternatives to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.
Portable and Convenient: Oral devices are small, portable, and easy to use. They are ideal for travel or use in situations where a CPAP machine may be less practical.

Comfortable: Many patients find oral devices more comfortable to wear than CPAP masks, which can cover the nose or the entire face.

Improved Sleep Quality: By reducing sleep apnea episodes and snoring, oral devices can lead to improved sleep quality and better overall well-being.

It's important to note that oral devices are not suitable for all patients with sleep apnea. They are generally recommended for individuals with mild to moderate OSA or those who have difficulty tolerating CPAP therapy. Patients with severe sleep apnea or certain anatomical issues may still require CPAP or other treatment options.

If you suspect you have sleep apnea or are having sleep-related issues call our office today for evaluation and diagnosis by Dr,Dwivedi. He will recommend the most appropriate treatment based on your individual needs and medical history. Additionally, regular follow-up appointments are vital to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and comfort of the oral device for sleep apnea treatment.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are surgical-grade root devices that support permanent tooth prosthetics that are manufactured to last a lifetime. These artificial roots are anchored in the bone beneath the gums where they become fused into the jaw. A crown is mounted atop the implant for a long-lasting and natural looking smile. Many dentists and patients prefer dental implants because they offer the same function as natural teeth and also help prevent bone atrophy in the jaw. Dental implants may be used to replace a single missing or damaged tooth or to restore an entire smile.

Advantages of dental implants include:

  • - time tested quality and effectiveness. The first implant was first developed in the 1950’s and over 3 million people enjoy having dental implants today.
  • - function that is like your natural teeth
  • - prevention of bone loss in your jaw
  • - replacement of a single missing or damaged tooth or restoration of your entire smile.

You may qualify for dental implants if you have missing, broken or severely decayed teeth, and you are in relatively good overall health.

If you are interested in knowing if you are a candidate for dental implants, contact our friendly staff today!

Did you know…that approximately 30 million people live with no natural teeth in one or both jaws? But more and more dental patients are opting for dental implants as a means of tooth replacement. The American Academy of Implant Dentistry reports that 3 million people currently have dental implants – a number that is rapidly growing by about 500,000 per year. Modern titanium implants were first developed in the 1950’s, but archeologists have determined that ancient Egyptians and Mayans were the first cultures to implant artificial teeth.

The Importance of Preventative Dental Care

At Dr. Dwivedi's office we believe in the power of preventative dental care to maintain optimal oral health and overall well-being. Preventative dental care encompasses a range of practices and treatments designed to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth in excellent condition, reducing the risk of dental problems and ensuring a bright, healthy smile for life. In this page, we will highlight the numerous benefits and significance of preventive dental care in promoting oral health.

Early Detection of Dental Issues:
Regular dental check-ups and cleanings enable our skilled dentists to identify potential dental issues at their early stages. Conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections can be treated more effectively when detected early, preventing them from developing into more serious and painful problems.

Reduced Dental Costs:
Preventative dental care can lead to significant cost savings in the long run. By addressing dental issues early on, you can avoid more extensive and expensive treatments that might become necessary if problems are left untreated. Routine check-ups and cleanings are a small investment compared to the potential expenses of complex dental procedures.

Preservation of Natural Teeth:
Preserving your natural teeth is one of the primary goals of preventative dental care. Regular cleanings and dental hygiene practices help to prevent tooth decay and gum disease, reducing the risk of tooth loss and the need for tooth replacements like dental implants or bridges.

Improved Oral Hygiene Habits:
Dr.Dwivedi not only treats your teeth but also provide valuable education on proper oral hygiene practices. Regular visits allow us to assess your current habits, address any concerns, and offer personalized advice to enhance your oral care routine.

Overall Health Benefits:
Oral health is closely linked to overall health. Research has shown associations between gum disease and various systemic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory issues. By maintaining good oral health through preventative care, you can potentially reduce the risk of developing certain health problems.

Enhanced Aesthetic Appeal:
A healthy smile is a beautiful smile. Preventative dental care helps in keeping your teeth clean, white, and free from stains, contributing to an enhanced aesthetic appearance. A confident smile can boost self-esteem and improve social interactions.

Increased Lifespan of Dental Restorations:
If you have dental restorations such as fillings, crowns, or veneers, preventative dental care is essential to extend their lifespan. Regular dental visits ensure these restorations are in good condition and promptly address any issues that may arise.

Customized Treatment Plans:
Dr. Dwivedi believes in personalized care. Preventative dental visits allow us to assess your oral health and create customized treatment plans based on your specific needs and concerns.

Establishing a Positive Dental Experience:
By attending regular dental check-ups from an early age, children can develop a positive attitude toward dental visits. This familiarity helps them feel comfortable and confident about their oral health as they grow.

In conclusion, preventative dental care is the foundation for maintaining optimal oral health and overall well-being. Regular dental check-ups, cleanings, and practicing good oral hygiene habits play a crucial role in preventing dental problems, reducing costs, and promoting a beautiful, healthy smile. Dr. Dwivedi is dedicated to providing top-notch preventive care to ensure that your oral health remains in excellent condition throughout your life. Schedule your next appointment with us and take a proactive step towards a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Extractions

Sometimes teeth need to be removed. Whether abscessed or broken, we might not be able to save the tooth. It needs to be extracted. The type of extraction is determined by Dr. Dwivedi after he has examined the situation and obtained a radiograph (x-ray). He will advise you of the best course of action. But rest assured, there will be no pain. Whether you are awake with local anesthesia or asleep with general anesthesia, you will not feel anything. Dr. Dwivedi has been trained in anesthesiology just for this situation.

Wisdom teeth or 3rd molars are the most commonly extracted teeth.

Instructions will be given to you for after the extraction care and an after hours contact will be provided. You won’t be left alone without any contact. Most extractions go very smoothly, even wisdom teeth. So don’t be worried. If there is a tooth which has to be removed give us a call.

Invisible Braces

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment system to straighten teeth through the use of clear plastic molds. The virtually invisible braces eliminate the metallic smile that is characteristic of the old-fashioned, traditional braces. Invisalign invisible braces are custom-molded to fit your teeth.

It is a brand name and identifies clear aligner orthodontics, the technique. Just as Kleenex is a brand most associated with facial tissues, though there are better “Kleenex” out there. Clear Correct is one of those better Invisalign’s out there. That is the brand Dr. Dwivedi utilizes for Invisalign orthodontics

Invisalign braces, over time, reposition your teeth into the straighter, more attractive smile you’ve always wanted. The ease and convenience of Invisalign have made it the choice for over 500,000 people in the last few years. One of the most appealing aspects of Invisalign braces is that there are no metal wires or bands constantly irritating your teeth and gums.

Invisalign’s popularity may also be attributed to the fact that most people won’t even notice your clear braces, and the braces won’t interrupt your busy lifestyle. At your free initial consultation, Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Dwivedi will discuss Invisalign braces with you, and, together, you can decide if this is what you’re looking for.

Once you’ve decided to get Invisalign, Dr.Dwivedi will use computer imaging to create your invisible braces. After taking bite impressions of your mouth, he will use the computer system to create a series of clear retainers. The very first one will fit the current configuration of your teeth, and each successive retainer will apply gentle pressure to move your teeth to their target alignments.

The number of applications will depend on your individual needs, but the average number is between 18-30. Each retainer is worn for two weeks, 24 hours a day (except during meals), and then the next aligner is used. The complete Invisalign teeth repositioning process takes the same amount of time as traditional orthodontics.

Advantages Abound

The advantages of the Invisalign system are numerous. Many people would rather live with crooked teeth than entertain the thought of living with silver, painful braces for two years or more. The clear Invisalign system was created to introduce much-needed aesthetics to the field of orthodontics. This system also allows its wearers to brush and floss as they normally would, reducing the chances of staining and decay that often occur with traditional braces. Food and drink limitations are not necessary; if patients wish to eat or drink foods that may interfere with the braces, they can simple remove the retainer.

The disadvantages of the Invisalign system are practically non-existent. Patients who do not wear the retainers as directed may not see the results they desired. And patients with sensitive teeth and/or gums may feel some discomfort when they switch to a new retainer. These problems are certainly minor and rare, and all patients say the benefits far outweigh any problems.

The cost of Invisalign may be higher than traditional braces and depends on how many aligners need to be created for you to achieve the desired results. Your dental insurance may cover the treatment, but you should ask your insurance company directly what they cover regarding dental/orthodontic procedures before committing to anything.

Why ClearCorrect?

You deserve a smile you can be proud of, and ClearCorrect can make it happen. Our clear aligners are comfortable, removable, and, best of all, nearly invisible. Most people won’t even notice that you’re wearing them. And because you can easily remove the aligners to eat, you don’t have to change your diet like you might with braces. You can show off your smile with almost no impact on your daily life. Some severe cases of misalignment do require metal braces, but most patients can be treated just as effectively with clear aligners. The cost and length of treatment are generally comparable. Why wouldn’t you choose ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect can treat a wide variety of issues that keep people from achieving their ideal smiles. Straighter teeth don’t just look better; they work better too. Poorly-aligned teeth can interfere with bite function, wear out quicker, and are more prone to cavities. Ask your doctor how ClearCorrect can help you.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are an excellent cosmetic dentistry solution for a wide range of aesthetic problems you may have with your teeth. Whether you are unsatisfied with the color of your teeth, have chips, cracks, crookedness, or gaps in your teeth, porcelain veneers are an excellent option.

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic material that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. Porcelain veneers are a wonderful cosmetic dentistry option because they are custom made and colored to create the smile you want. When placed by an experienced cosmetic dentist, like Dr. Dwivedi, porcelain veneers look just like beautiful, natural, bright teeth.

If traditional orthodontics is not an option for you, then porcelain veneers can create a beautiful, straight smile in just a few visits, rather than having to undergo years of braces.   Unlike dental crowns or dental bonding, that are usually used on one or two teeth, porcelain veneers can be added to multiple upper and lower teeth.

Porcelain veneers are not false teeth; they are bonded to the front of your teeth, providing a bright, new, straight surface that can cover any chips, stains, breaks, or gaps you may have.

Dr.Dwivedi will make sure your porcelain veneers will both improve your smile to your exact specifications, and make sure your new smile looks natural. With the right porcelain veneers, the color, shape, and even translucency of the veneers will look just like naturally beautiful teeth..

Same Day Dentistry

Dwivedi uses a digital scanner to create a 3D image of the patient’s teeth and gums.

Dwivedi checks the fit and aesthetics before permanently cementing it to the patient’s tooth or implant.
    • Time-saving: The entire process, from digital scanning to restoration placement, is completed in one visit, saving both the patient’s and the dentist’s time.
    • Precise fit: Digital technology ensures a high level of accuracy in designing and fabricating restorations, leading to better fit and function.

However, it’s important to note that not all dental treatments can be done in a single visit, and some cases may still require traditional laboratory-fabricated restorations. Dr. Dwivedi will assess each patient’s individual needs and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Smile Makeover

Smile Makeover

A smile makeover is a comprehensive approach to improving the appearance of a person’s smile through various cosmetic and restorative dental procedures. The goal of a smile makeover is to enhance the aesthetics of the teeth and gums, resulting in a more attractive and confident smile. This process involves a combination of treatments tailored to the individual’s specific needs and desires.

He will evaluate the patient’s oral health, discuss their concerns and expectations, and then develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve the desired results. The timeline and cost of a smile makeover can vary depending on the complexity of the case and the procedures involved.

Before considering a smile makeover, it’s essential for individuals to have good oral health. If there are any underlying dental issues like gum disease or decay, these should be addressed and treated before moving forward with cosmetic treatments. Regular dental check-ups are crucial to maintaining the results of a smile makeover and ensuring the long-term health of the teeth and gums.

Sedation Dentistry

The medication induces a higher level of relaxation than nitrous oxide and may cause drowsiness, making it more suitable for patients with moderate dental anxiety. Depending on the dosage, some patients may feel groggy or even fall asleep during the procedure.

IV Sedation (Intravenous Sedation): IV sedation involves the administration of sedative drugs directly into the bloodstream through a vein. This type of sedation allows for a deeper level of relaxation and is often used for more complex or lengthy dental procedures. With IV sedation, the dentist can adjust the level of sedation throughout the procedure to ensure the patient’s comfort.

It’s important to note that in all cases of sedation dentistry, the patient’s vital signs are continuously monitored by the dental team to ensure their safety throughout the procedure.

If you experience dental anxiety or fear and are considering sedation dentistry, it’s essential to discuss your concerns with Dr.Dwivedi.

Reduced Awareness: The patient’s level of consciousness is significantly lowered, and they may have little to no memory of the dental procedure.

Pain Management: Deep sedation provides effective pain relief, which is particularly beneficial for patients undergoing lengthy or complex dental treatments.

Amnesia Effect: Deep sedation can cause temporary amnesia, so patients often have little recollection of the procedure after it is completed.

Continuous Monitoring: During deep sedation, the patient’s vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, are continuously monitored by the dental team to ensure their safety.

Deep sedation/ General Anesthesia is often used for patients with severe dental anxiety or phobia, those undergoing extensive dental work, or individuals with a low pain threshold. It allows patients to receive necessary dental treatments comfortably and with reduced anxiety. If you are considering sedation dentistry, it’s crucial to discuss your concerns with Dr. Dwivedi.

Preventative Care

The Importance of Preventative Dental Care

At Dr. Dwivedi’s office we believe in the power of preventative dental care to maintain optimal oral health and overall well-being.

Clear Braces

Sleep Apnea/Snoring

Sleep Apnea/Snoring

Oral devices, also known as oral appliances, can be an effective treatment option for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. These devices are prescribed and custom-fitted by Dr. Dwivedi. Oral devices work by repositioning the jaw or tongue to help keep the airway open during sleep, reducing the instances of apneas (temporary pauses in breathing) and snoring.

Here’s how oral devices for sleep apnea treatment generally work:

Evaluation and Customization: The process begins with a comprehensive evaluation by Dr.Dwivedi. They will assess the severity of the sleep apnea and determine if an oral device is a suitable treatment option for the patient. If it is, they will take impressions and measurements of the patient’s mouth to create a custom-fitted oral appliance.

It’s important to note that oral devices are not suitable for all patients with sleep apnea.

Porcelain Veneers

Implants

Dental Implants

Dental implants are surgical-grade root devices that support permanent tooth prosthetics that are manufactured to last a lifetime. These artificial roots are anchored in the bone beneath the gums where they become fused into the jaw. A crown is mounted atop the implant for a long-lasting and natural looking smile. Many dentists and patients prefer dental implants because they offer the same function as natural teeth and also help prevent bone atrophy in the jaw. Dental implants may be used to replace a single missing or damaged tooth or to restore an entire smile.

Advantages of dental implants include:

  • – time tested quality and effectiveness. The first implant was first developed in the 1950’s and over 3 million people enjoy having dental implants today.
  • – function that is like your natural teeth
  • – prevention of bone loss in your jaw
  • – replacement of a single missing or damaged tooth or restoration of your entire smile.

Hybridge Full Arch

Hybridge Full Arch

Hybridge Dental Lab is a company that specializes in providing dental solutions for patients with missing teeth. They offer a specific type of dental implant-supported full-arch restoration called the “Hybridge Full Arch” system.

The Hybridge Full Arch system is designed to replace a full set of upper or lower teeth with a fixed, permanent dental prosthesis supported by dental implants. The process involves a collaboration between the patient, Dr.Dwivedi, and the Hybridge Dental Lab. Here’s an overview of the typical steps involved in the Hybridge Full Arch procedure:

Consultation: The process begins with a consultation between the patient and a dentist trained in the Hybridge Full Arch system. During this appointment, the dentist will evaluate the patient’s oral health, discuss their needs and goals, and determine if they are a suitable candidate for the treatment.

Temporary Restoration: While the dental implants heal and integrate with the jawbone, a temporary restoration (usually a removable denture) may be provided to maintain the patient’s ability to chew and speak comfortably.

It’s important to note that dental implant procedures, including the Hybridge Full Arch system, require thorough evaluation and planning to ensure the best outcomes. Not all patients may be suitable candidates for this type of treatment, and individual considerations, such as overall health, bone density, and oral hygiene, will play a role in determining eligibility. Since dental technologies evolve over time, it’s a good idea to have a consultation with Dr. Dwivedi for the most up-to-date information and details about services and treatment options

All on X

All on X

“All-on-X” is a term used in the field of implant dentistry to describe a full-arch dental restoration technique that replaces all teeth in either the upper or lower jaw, or both, using a fixed dental prosthesis supported by multiple dental implants. The “X” in “All-on-X” represents the number of dental implants used to anchor the full-arch restoration.

However, it’s essential to note that the All-on-X procedure is a significant undertaking that requires careful planning and consideration.
